Irreversible Photochromic Pigment-Blue
Item number: Irreversible Photochromic Pigment
Introduction:
Irreversible Photochromic Pigment is one of our photochromic products. Irreversible Photochromic Pigment is an almost white powder in normal situation and it will become blue when it absorbs UV light. This color changing effect is irreversible. Irreversible Photochromic Pigment can be applied in ink and paint.
In the absence of UV light, product made of Irreversible Photochromic Pigment shows white color or its own color. When there is an ultraviolet light source, the color of the product will gradually become darker; the longer the irradiation time, the darker the color will be (or a mixed color of the product's natural color and other colors).
Application in Ink & Paint:
Irreversible Photochromic Pigment can be dissolved in a solvent.
Irreversible Photochromic Pigment can be applied in oil-based ink and paint and it is suitable for screen printing, gravure printing and Flexo printing. It is recommended to use white or light colors for the background to increase the degree of difference in color changes.
Neutral or weakly alkaline transparent resin should be used. pH 7-9 is most suitable.
The recommended dosage of Irreversible Photochromic Pigment is 10%~20% w/w.
Precautions for product use:
The adhesion of Irreversible Photochromic Pigment mainly depends on the nature of the printing/spraying substrate. It is recommended to do a test before mass printing.
The UV light source below 500nm must be shielded during the whole production process. Avoid using UV drying process.
If UV absorber is added, it will affect the color change speed.
